We paint every day, all day; in the countryside; ancient sugar plantations, medieval villages, tropical beaches, botanical gardens and prehistoric caves, ancient temples and more. Everyone leaves with exciting and challenging tools. It is important to us that you are able to learn, and then have the opportunity to incorporate the new information into your own work.

Our workshop locations are carefully chosen.  We have personally traveled to Spain, Monhegan Island, Maine, and the Virgin Islands, and have strong connections. There is no need to speak the native languages!  We have guides and translators with us at all times.  Would you like to visit Spain in May?  Or maybe Maine in August.... or there is always St. Thomas, Virgin Islands in the fall.....
A note about our painting instruction - Our classes are set up to include artists from beginner to advanced experience, and still cover pertinent topics. You'll find, whenever possible, the instructor will be painting with you so you can see how he handles the same subject matter.  We offer valuable workshops to serious artist and students seeking advanced training in oil painting.

The Painting Gypsies invite you to join our outdoor oil-painting workshops
Our workshops provide you with award-winning professional instruction, bilingual guides and culture immersion! When is the last time you saw a prehistoric cave?  When have you gone swimming at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world? There is nothing more satisfying than plein-air painting alongside fellow painters in exotic locations. From the start the experience is spectacular - the locations, the camaraderie, the critiques, and of course the painting. Each workshop brings its own unique flavor and ambiance, and is customized for a memorable and enriching experiences.
